Home » Boys' Basketball NewsPirates beat Warriors AgainFebruary 5, 2012 By Rick Foster of St Charles Boys BasketballFor the third time in a row the St. Charles boys varsity basketball team defeated the St. Charles West Warriors. The Pirates came out and dominated the second half on their way to a 57-46 friday night win at West. Frosh Casey Teson led the Pirates with taking a charge and diving on the floor several times. Our team had at least 10 floor dives for the ball and the coaching staff was very proud of the effort the boys gave. Kory Haulcy played one of his best games with great defense and rebounding. Shawn Satterwhite had a great floor dive into the Warriors bench as well. Sophomore Sam Kohrs got into his first varsity game and hit a huge 3 point shot at the buzzer to give us a boost going into the break at half. It was a great team EFFORT...we need that same intensity -EFFORT of EVERY game we play-just not the "big" games. The Pirates will play at Timberland at 5:30 PM on Tuesday night and at Fort Zumwalt East on Friday night-this will be a 4 game night with the girls team (who beat the Warriors as well on Friday night). Our JV team opens GAC North tourney action Monday at Ft. Zumwalt East
