Girls golf loses close one to Mooresville

The Lady Cards golf team lost last night to Mooresville, the score was 195 to 204. The low medalist was Kaitlin Powers with a 46.

Head coach Mr. Bob Humbles was happy that his team played well, but he is looking forward to the Marion county meet.

“We have the county meet on Tuesday, September 4,” head coach Mr. Bob Humbles said. “We are going to work a little on our chipping and then go over to the driving range and do some driving and work a little on our irons. Hopefully the girls will get to do a practice round at South Grove golf course this weekend if the rain holds off.”

The Cards hope they can come out with a high finish next Tuesday.
