New District Alignment

The Washington Demons are back in the same football district as the Mt. Pleasant Panthers. After a two year absence the rivalry between MPCHS and WHS can resume on the gridiron. The Iowa High School Athletic Association released the new football districts for all teams in the state January 17. Joining MP in district #7 of class 3A will be Washington, Centerville, Fairfield, Ft. Madison, Keokuk, and Williamsburg. For the last two years Washington had been in a different district and was not on the Panther schedule for the first time in decades. The Panthers have been assigned to play Solon in their bye week.
