RHS passed — and made sure the Red Devils didn’t pass on the chance to set up a showdown of North Central Conference unbeatens next week at Lyboult Field. Richmond kept Muncie Central off the scoreboard in the fourth quarter, and made a 26-21 decision for the Devils stand up Friday night. The RHS defense twice turned away fourth-quarter drives in Red Devil territory to earn a third straight victory. “It was big. It was big for the defense,” said senior David Youngblood, who swatted away a late chance from Central quarterback Billy Walker. “Defense did what they could.” So did the offense, especially on fourth down and down by a point. J.D. Moore took a handoff 4 yards on fourth-and-goal with 1:06 left in the third quarter for what turned into the winning touchdown. “I had to get it,” Moore said. “I had to run as hard as I could.” Richmond’s backfield did a lot of running. http://www.pal-item.com/article/20120914/HSSPORTS01/309140017/Red-Devils-keep-rolling?nclick_check=1
