The Indiana High School Golf Coaches Association has released its second poll for the 2012 girls golf season, and we have a new leader as Yorktown moves up one spot to surpass preseason leader Penn as the state’s top-ranked team.

Carmel moves up one spot from third to fourth, while Hamilton Southeastern jumps from seventh to third and Noblesville stays pat at No. 4. Penn now resides in fifth, with Bloomington South tearing up the charts in rising from outside the Atop 20 to sixth.

The Top 10 is rounded out by a three-way tie for seventh between Chesterton (down from fifth), Zionsville (down from sixth), and Jasper (skyrocketing up from 19th), with Valparaiso dropping from ninth to 10th.
