South Drops North in PKs

Terre Haute South scored an upset victory in the Terre Haute South Girls Soccer Sectional finals.  South beat THN 2-1 (4-2 in PKs).  South scored first on a goal from Courtney Hubbard (assist to Rachel Senseman).  North responded a few minutes later with an equalizer.  The teams went the rest of regulation and through both 7 minute overtime periods without scoring.
In penalty kicks, Courtney Hubbard, Mackenzie Mauriello, Rachel Senseman and Abby Pigg all scored.  GK Kellie Buchanan was able to stop 2 Lady Patriot attempts to clinch the game for the Lady Braves.
South returns to action Wednesday night in regional play against Evansville North at Jasper.  Gametime is 7pm.
