2012 WCC GIRLS’ GOLF TOURNAMENT

TIME:  Tee times begin at 11:00 p.m.  There will be a coaches’ meeting at 10:30 and      

   a meeting for all participants at 10:45 on the practice green.

11:10    South Put. 1, Cloverdale 1, Cascade 2, Greencastle 2

11:20    Monrovia2, South Put. 2, North Put. 2, Cloverdale 2

11:30    North Put. 3, Cloverdale 3,Monrovia3, Greencastle 3

11:40   South Put. 3, Cascade 3, North Put. 4,Monrovia4

11:50   Greencastle 4, South. Put. 4, Cloverdale 4, Cascade 4

12:00    Cascade 5, Cloverdale 5, North Put. 5

12:10    Monrovia5, South. Put 5, Greencastle 5 

PRACTICE:  Range balls will be available free of charge and the putting green will be

                         available the morning of the competition. Call the pro shop to set up a

                         practice round.  Practice rounds will be $15.00.  Call several days ahead

                         to make a tee time.

FORMAT:  18 holes – stroke play.

AWARDS:  The top ten and ties will make up the all-Conference Golf Team.  They will

 receive medals.  The winning team will be awarded a trophy at the Spring                banquet.

RULES:  USGA Rules will apply and where applicable, local rules and definitions.

1. Coaches and spectators are welcome to be on the course to follow play; spectators must stay on the cart paths and cannot give advice. (rule 8)
2. Players should report nine-hole scores at the turn.  These scores are unofficial until the 18-hole scores are properly turned in with a signed scorecard.
3. Doubt to Procedure:  in stroke play, when during play of a hole, a competitor is doubtful of his rights or procedure, he may, without penalty, play a second ball.  After the situation which has caused the doubt is resolved, the competitor will announce to his marker which ball will be scored.
4. Out of Bounds: Defined by white stakes on the following holes: 1, 2, 3, 13, 14, 15, 16.  In course out of bounds: to the right of the 1^st cart path on #17 (Where it turns towards #18 tee.)
5. Obstructions:  150 yard posts and green sprinkler boxes are immoveable obstructions and YOU GET FREE RELIEF.
6. After play, participants may not go back on the course during play.
7. There will be an official local rules sheet available the morning of the competition.

Inclement Weather:  In the event of a weather postponement or cancellation, the tournament will be considered final if ALL golfers have played at least 9 holes.  The team champion and all-conference selections will be determined by scores after 9 holes.  If 9 holes have not been completed by all participants, then a 9-hole shotgun-start tournament will be held on the next available day.
