Cadets Compete at WeBo Invite

The Cascade Girls’ Golf Team competed in the Western Boone Invitational on Saturday at Cool Lake Golf Club.  Again due to injuries, the Cadets could not post a team score because of being short one golfer.   However, the golfers who did compete gained some confidence and experience as we head into the final stretch of the season.  Junior Sage Archer and sophomore Shelby Baldwin each played closer to their potential as they scored 111 and 112 respectively.  Jessica Smyth continued her strong play and was Match Medalist with a 73.  The score of 73 was a personal best and set a new school record.  She shot a1-under 34 on the back nine, also a personal best 9-hole score for Smyth.   

The Lady cadets should get another golfer active in time for their 3 matches this week; Monday at home against Northview, Wednesday at South Putnam (Oak Ridge), and Thursday at North Putnam (Twin Bridges GC).

Cascade & Franklin Central had Incomplete teams.
