Home » Volleyball NewsCards Open TAAC Play with a VictorySeptember 15, 2012 By Chad Rutkowski of Cardinal Stritch Catholic High SchoolOregon, OH - Stritch Catholic Volleyball started their Toledo Area Athletic Conference play this on September 4, 2012 with a quick win vs. Emmanuel Christian in straight sets (3-0). The Cardinals were lead, once again, by their quick and tenacious offense. Sara Turner-Smith (#7, Senior) was the offensive leader with 8 kills and a hitting percetnage of .583, and Ally Heyman (#8, Junior) had 6 kills and hit .300. Alexa McCourt (#2, Junior) distributed 18 assists and and Senior Defensive Specialist, Alexi Jagielski (#4) lead the defensive charge with 7 digs. The Cardinals move to 4-1 (1-0 TAAC), and the JV team moves to 5-0 on the year.
