Napoleon Dual Meet



The Bryan cross country teams dueled with Napoleon on Tuesday, August 30, 2011.  Bryan hosted the meet, the first home match of the season.  Surrounded by an awesome crowd, the Bryan boys defeated the Napoleon boys.  Bryan scored 20 points to Napoleon’s 41 points.  Bryan placed their top 7 runners in the top 10.  Evan Morr was 2^nd with a 17:42; Scott Whisler was 3^rd with an 18:0, Mason Gansmiller placed 4^th with an 18:04; Jacob Will was 5^th with a 18:15; Jordan Spiess placed 6^th with 18:27; Christian Grube was 7^th with a 18:39, and Sheldon Struble was 10^th with a 18:55.

The Bryan ladies team ran into one of the best girls programs in Northwest Ohio.  Napoleon easily defeated Bryan by a score of 15 to 49.  Even though Bryan loss, the Bryan ladies ran some of their best times of the season.  Ruth Rithcey-Moore lead the lady Bears with a 7^th place finish(21:54); Brooke Vollmer placed 13^th(23:33); Julia Kerr was 14^th(23:44), Lauren Taylor placed 15^th(24:01), Alexus Valderas was 16^th(24:18), Paige Taylor was 17^th(24:34) and Aubrey Steele placed 18^th(25:30).
