Home » Girls' Volleyball NewsLady Pirates Defeat HickmanSeptember 14, 2012 By Lisa Moody of Boonville High SchoolOn September 4 at 6:00 p.m. the JV and Varsity Lady Pirate volleyball squads made a short journey to Columbia to take on the Hickman Kewpie’s. The JV team started the evening by seizing a 2-1 victory. The Varsity team followed the JV by also winning with a 2-0 victory. Taylor Fry, a junior playing for the Varsity squad, stated her thoughts on the game, “I felt we played well as a team, but the game was closer than we expected.” Although the Lady Pirates won the game, the matches were tightly contested. The Lady Pirates look to continue their success and keep their winning season going.
