Home » Girls' Softball NewsSuccessful win for the Lady Pirates softball teamSeptember 14, 2012 By Lisa Moody of Boonville High SchoolOn August 30, the Lady Pirates prevail over the Moberly Spartans for a 4-3 win. Overall the Lady Pirates seemed to have a slow first inning. After they hit in the second inning they got into the swing of things and scored two runs. Moberly, not wanting to be left behind, managed to get one run in to make it 2-1 in the end of the second inning. Throughout the rest of the game, the Lady Pirates played intensely winning the game by one run. When Madison Lester was asked how she felt when she played, she replied, “I feel I did not play as well as I could have, but we were still successful as a team.” Lester was asked what she felt the team needed to work on, she replied, “Communication and being more aggressive at the plate.”
